There's a man at the station.
"Excuse me," a man says, "is this train headed to California?" He has the broad shoulders of a field hand, and his gaze is alert and polite.
"Yeah," Kyuhyun says. "Is that where you're headed?" The man nods.
"Go head up to the front of the train and talk to the conductor," Zhou Mi suggests.
"All right," the man says. "I'm Siwon, by the way."
His handshake is firm and confident. He seems out of place, honestly, in this world turned upside-down; too calm, too ordinary.
"Have a safe trip," Zhou Mi says.
"Thanks, you too," Siwon says, and ambles towards the train engine. They stare after him.
Kyuhyun says, "I think Heechul will like him."
Zhou Mi nods.
A/N: I didn't include this because it could theoretically be taken as a hint of SiHanChul, and the person I was writing this for wasn't interested in that. It's certainly vague enough to scan as gen, but to be safe, I left it out and posted it separately here. (I just don't think it's right for their friendship to be broken up.)
