"No, stop," Suga laughs, trying to squirm away from Daichi's cold fingers. "I take it back, I'm breaking up with you, you're the worst."

Daichi's laughing too, his eyes flashing with wicked mischief as he wraps his arms around Suga's waist and pulls him in until their bodies are flush together. "You won't," he says, his voice a low murmur in Suga's ear. Suga shivers, not just from the cold, and Daichi's smile widens. "You love me, admit it."

"No," Suga gasps, and it turns into a shriek when Daichi pushes his cold nose against the hollow behind Suga's ear. Suga twists in Daichi's grip and lands a wild hit against Daichi's shoulder, startling Daichi into letting go.

"Ow," he says, more surprised than anything.

Suga is trotting to the kitchen, his shoulders hunched a little. A small coil of worry unfurls in Daichi's chest and he follows after him. "Hey, Suga, are you actually mad? I'm sorry—"

Suga's reaching for the electric kettle and filling it with water. He clicks it on before turning, revealing an expression that's somewhere between annoyed and amused. "I'm not mad," he says, "it's just really cold, and you could have just asked." He reaches for Daichi's hands, cradling them in his warmer ones, and lifts them to his mouth to blow warm air over them. "There are better ways to warm up if you're cold."

"I can think of a few more, yeah," Daichi murmurs, just for the pleasure of seeing Suga's cheeks tinge pink. The kettle whistles before Suga can make a retort, though, and he shoos Daichi to the kitchen table while he prepares two mugs of hot chocolate.

"Much more efficient," Suga sighs with satisfaction as he curls his hands around the warm ceramic. Daichi follows suit, feeling heat seep into his bones.

"It wasn't about efficiency, you know," Daichi persists. "I just wanted to touch you."

Suga's eyes flick over to him over the rim of his mug. He looks fond, a little shy in the way he always gets when Daichi speaks plainly. "I don't like the cold," Suga says.

"Which is why you're always starting snowball fights."

"That's different. Snowball fights are actually good for staying warm, all that physical exercise."

"A likely excuse."

"Just like trying to warm your hands on me, right?" Suga murmurs, raising an eyebrow, and Daichi snorts.

"Yeah," he says. "Just like."
