• You can privatize a poll so that only members can see who voted where, only the mods can see who voted where, or everyone can see who voted where. (The mod account is paid for from June 1-Aug 31 so that it can make polls.)


• Only people with DW accounts can vote. We can make it so that only people who have joined the comm can vote, or make it so that anyone with a DW account can vote.


• Most importantly DW can force people to pick exactly 5 votes, no more and no less. Seriously try to vote for a number other than 5, you can't.


• People can change their votes until a poll is closed. After the poll is closed, all votes are frozen.


• For splitting people into sectors, I think it's easier to make one voting post for each sector and put all those posts on the main comm. I vote that we say "We're expecting to see THESE users voting on THIS sector's poll post, and if I don't see your name there then your vote just doesn't get counted." Keeps our workload down.


• You can use polls for more than just voting--you can also use them to get participant opinions/feedback in a clear and easy-to-filter way. But you probably figured that one already.


• Please note that if we truly have 120+ teams like last year, it might take me about an hour to make each poll. Lots of typing. tl;dr when it is time to vote don't be surprised if I lag a bit in putting up the posts. (I don't mind the work.)
